FAQ On Healthcare Partner Privileges
What are Healthcare Partner Privileges (“Privilege”)?
Healthcare Partner Privileges consist of special offers, preferential rates and access to exclusive services offered by AIA’s Healthcare Partners to all AIA policyholders and certificate holders.
Where can I view the list of AIA’s Participating Healthcare Partner and the various privileges offered?
You can go to AIA’s website to view the full list of AIA’s Healthcare Partners here and click on the respective participating Health Partners to view privileges offered.
How do I use this Privilege feature at AIA’s Participating Healthcare Partners?
You will need to download the My AIA app and register as a My AIA member. Please present the main dashboard or your e-medical card on the My AIA app upon registration or during payment at the hospital to apply for this Privilege.
Note: Do make sure that your name is visible on your My AIA app main dashboard.
Will this Privilege feature be automatically applied during my visits to any AIA’s Participating Healthcare Partner?
No. You will need to inform the participating Healthcare Partner that you wish to apply the Privilege feature and present your My AIA app main dashboard.
Note: It is good to confirm if this Privilege is entitled for the intended service or treatment.
Will this Privilege be covered by my insurance policy / takaful certificate?
No, this Privilege is a self-pay privilege for AIA customers policyholders / certificate owners.
Am I entitled for the Privilege feature?
The Privilege feature is a value-added service available to all AIA policyholders/certificate owners, including both Individual and Employee Benefits customers.
Does the Privilege feature apply to my dependents or another person under my policy/certificate?
Yes, if the person is assured/covered under the same policy/certificate as yourself. Do note that the AIA’s participating Healthcare Partner may ask for verification at the time of registering or during payment.
Can my dependent, who is also assured/covered under my policy/certificate utilise this Privilege without my presence?
Yes, however they have must be registered as a My AIA member and have downloaded the My AIA app as they would be required to show the proof of this Privilege for verification purposes.
If my policy/certificate is no longer in-force, can I still enjoy this Privilege feature?
No, you will no longer be entitled to this Privilege feature.
How do I know if the Privilege feature has been successfully applied during my visit to the Participating Healthcare Partner?
When you are at the hospital, do confirm with the hospital whether this Privilege has been applied to your bill, as each hospital process may be different. It is best to always check first with AIA’s Healthcare Partners on the status of this Privilege feature prior to your visit.
How long is this Privilege feature valid for?
This Privilege feature is subject to change from time to time. Please refer to aia.com.my or to any of AIA’s participating Healthcare Partner’s website for more details.
