Programme Overview

The 15‑month AIA Next Gen Underwriting Graduate Programme is designed to accelerate your development into a purpose‑driven underwriting professional. Through structured training, hands‑on experience, and personalised mentoring, you will build the technical expertise, behavioural strengths, and strategic mindset needed to succeed in the future of underwriting.

Who We're Looking For

We welcome graduates and early career professionals who are curious, motivated, and eager to apply their health science knowledge in a real-world business environment. 

What Will Help You Thrive in This Programme

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health related discipline such as Medical Science, Biomedical Science, Nursing, Pharmacy, Allied Health, or Life Sciences
  • Candidates from other relevant science or health related disciplines may also be considered

  • Minimum CGPA 3.0, or equivalent (Second Class Upper or WAM 70% and above)

  • Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant working experience
  • No prior insurance or underwriting experience is required, as training will be provided as part of the Programme

  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken, to support effective communication and collaboration

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Comfortable working with digital tools and adapting to new systems
  • Able to communicate clearly and work with different stakeholders
  • Demonstrates learning agility, resilience, and a growth mindset
