AIA Penyala Harapan Scholarship

We are proud to launch the AIA Penyala Harapan Scholarship Programme, a transformative initiative aimed at empowering deserving Malaysian students through education in line with our purpose of helping people lead Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.

This initiative which is made possible through the surplus contribution donated by AIA PUBLIC Takaful certificate participants, reflects AIA’s commitment to nurturing future leaders who will contribute positively to society and the nation.

The scholarship programme is in collaboration with Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (UIAM) and Universiti Malaya (UM) for first year degree students enrolled in relevant courses.

Below 22 years old at the time of application.

Household Income

Applicant’s total parental or guardian household income must not exceed RM11000.00 per month.

University

Must be accepted into the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and approved programme of study.

Academic Qualification

Eligibility is limited to applicants enrolling in their first undergraduate degree programme
 

  • STPM / Diploma / Matriculation / Foundation: Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.4

Award Offer

Provisional offer of scholarship will be made subject to confirmation of acceptance by the selected scholar.

Condition of Award

Applicants must not be receiving any other full scholarship or financial aid that covers the entire cost of education fee (bonded or non-bonded). Assistance from government welfare bodies such as Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat does not affect eligibility.

Scholarship Value

RM20,000.00 per year

Tenure

For the normal duration of the undergraduate degree programme as determined by the University.

The scholarship amount is intended to assist tuition fees, examination fees, hostel fees, living allowances and/or IT equipment and books that you may need for your education programme.

There may also be an opportunity for an internship placement with AIA Malaysia. 

Successful applicants will be notified by the University. The communication will include scholarship details, disbursement method and scholarship responsibilities. 

Disbursement will made through the University, which will manage payment to the successful applicants.
