In 2025, AIA Malaysia's panel hospital network has increased to a total of 120 (from 116) panel hospitals comprising of:
- 75 SMART panel hospitals, including 2 newly added hospitals (i) Sunway Medical Centre Damansara, Selangor (ii) Sunway Medical Centre Ipoh, Perak
- 45 General panel hospitals, included 2 newly added hospitals (i) Borneo Medical Centre, Sarawak (ii) Hospital Seri Botani, Perak

The updated panel hospital listing will take effect from 1 August 2025. From this date onwards, customers will need to check whether their preferred doctor or hospital offers cashless facilities under the updated panel structure.
With over 120 panel hospitals, AIA Malaysia continues to maintain one of the widest hospital networks in the industry. Guided by the principles of accessibility and effectiveness, we regularly review our network to ensure customers have convenient access to care where it is needed the most. Moving forward, we aim to focus on quality partnerships that consistently deliver high standards of care and service excellence rather than expanding the number of panel hospitals.
SMART panel hospitals are carefully curated partners of AIA Malaysia that meet our high standards of care and service excellence. Customers visiting these hospitals will enjoy a range of value-added benefits, including:
- Cashless services
- Priority lane for admission and discharge from the hospital
- Dedicated liaison to assist during the hospital stay
- Special admission kit with essentials and exclusive vouchers
- Waiver of admission deposits
For customers under the SMART Option medical plan, the 20% co-pay is waived when receiving treatment at a SMART panel hospital.

We understand how important continuity of care is, especially for long-term treatment. You have a few options to consider, depending on what works best for you:
- Explore other doctors within the General Panel - You can use the updated panel to find specialists in the same field who offer cashless services. This may help ease the financial process and streamline your treatment experience.
- Consider SMART Panel Hospitals - These facilities offer cashless services along with value-added benefits such as priority lanes and dedicated hospital liaisons, which may enhance your overall care experience.
- Continue with your current doctor - You are welcome to keep seeing your regular doctor. In this case, you will need to pay upfront and submit a reimbursement claim, subject to your policy terms.
