AIA Vitality
Fitbit Connectivity
From 1 October 2026, Google is changing the way Fitbit connects and shares data with external apps. This means the way Fitbit connects with AIA Vitality will change.
As a result, Fitbit connectivity with AIA Vitality will be temporarily unavailable from 1 October 2026.
What To Do Before 1 Oct 2026
If you currently use Fitbit with AIA Vitality, please sync all your Fitbit data to AIA Vitality by 30 September 2026.
This includes your Steps, Heart Rate and Sleep data.
What Happens From 1 Oct 2026?
While Fitbit connectivity is temporarily unavailable:
- Workout and sleep data from your Fitbit device will no longer sync with AIA Vitality
- You will not be able to earn AIA Vitality Points for physical activity and sleep tracking through your Fitbit device
We’re actively working to support the transition and restore Fitbit connectivity as soon as possible.
Keep moving, tracking and earning points!
You can still stay on track with your AIA Vitality goals while Fitbit connectivity is temporarily unavailable by connecting another compatible device or app

FAQ: Important Update On Fitbit
Google has recently announced that the current Fitbit API will be replaced by Google Health API by 1 October 2026. To ensure that we can continue supporting AIA Vitality members using Fitbit devices, a system migration is required. During this system migration period, connection of Fitbit with AIA Vitality will be temporarily unavailable.
We are working hard to bring back Fitbit and will update as soon as possible. During this transition, Fitbit will not be available as a compatible device on your Linked Devices via AIA+
Please sync all your activities tracked on Fitbit, i.e. steps, heart rate, and sleep, to AIA Vitality on/before 30 September 2026. Any data not synced after this date will not be reflected in AIA Vitality.
The other supported devices for AIA Vitality are Apple, Garmin, Huawei, Polar and Samsung. Log in to AIA+ to explore the partner benefits if you are considering getting a new device.
Alternatively, you may track steps using Health app (for Apple users) or Samsung Health app (for Android users).
You can purchase a new fitness device from either Garmin, Samsung, Huawei or Apple via the AIA+ app. Once you have received your fitness device, you can opt in to the Device Cashback Challenge, where you can earn up to RM1,040 cashback on your device when you meet your personalised weekly target.
