The Free Pregnancy Cover provides a lump sum payout if the Covered Person is diagnosed with a covered pregnancy complication.

Coverage Summary

Notes:

1. AIA+ app user/non-user status at point of claims will be used to determine the amount payable.
2. Each Covered Person is limited to signing up for this Free Pregnancy Cover ONCE only during the coverage period, regardless of the number of foetuses in the pregnancy.
3. Waiting period of 14 days from the registration date applies for diagnosis of the covered conditions
4. This free coverage is subject to an aggregate claim limit of RM 1million across AIA Bhd., AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd., and AIA General Berhad (collectively, “AIA”, “We”, “Us” or “Our”). This aggregate limit applies to all free coverages offered by Us.
5. This Free Pregnancy Cover is offered by AIA Bhd. and AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd.

“Amniotic Fluid Embolism” mean entering of amniotic fluid into the maternal circulation that has caused life threatening pulmonary edema or cardiac arrest in the mother or foetal death.

“Acute Fatty Liver of Pregnancy (AFLP) during Pregnancy” means a pathologic entity unique to pregnancy and characterised by micro fascicular fatty infiltration of the liver. It can present as fulminant hepatic failure, defined as the acute onset of encephalopathy, within eight (8) weeks of Diagnosis of liver disease in a patient with no prior history of liver dysfunction. The Diagnosis must be confirmed by an appropriate specialist and a liver biopsy.

"Eclampsia" means an occurrence of Grand Mal seizures or unexplained coma during pregnancy or shortly after delivery that was preceded by signs and symptoms of pre-eclampsia.

1. the expecting mother must be within the 1st to 36th gestational week;
2. aged between 18 to 45 years old; and
3. is a Malaysian/ Foreigner within the acceptable countries, residing in Malaysia.

The coverage period of this free pregnancy coverage is effective upon successful registration until 31 October 2027, subject to 14 days waiting period, or upon reaching a total claims limit of RM1 million (for AIA Bhd., AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd., and AIA General Berhad, combined), whichever is earlier. The total claims limit of RM1 million is aggregated between all the free covers which are offered by Us. AIA reserves the right to withdraw this Free Pregnancy Cover at any time with prior notice. Any changes or updates will be communicated to customers via email.
