The Free Umrah Cover supports the Covered Person’s pilgrimage journey by providing death coverage during the Covered Person’s Umrah trip.

| Death Benefit | In the event the Covered Person dies during the Hajj or Umrah trip, We shall pay the amount of benefit as shown in the Table of Benefits. |
| Accidental Death Benefit | In the event the Covered Person dies due to an Accident during the Hajj or Umrah trip, We shall pay the amount of benefit as shown in the Table of Benefits. |
| Badal Hajj Death Benefit | In the event the Covered Person dies before he is able to perform Hajj, We shall pay the amount of benefit as shown in the Table of Benefits for the family to arrange Badal Hajj for the deceased Covered Person. Badal Hajj means to hire someone to perform Hajj on behalf of another person. The person who performs Badal Hajj must be Muslim and had performed Hajj in the past. |
Notes:
- The Covered Person must register for the Free Umrah Cover before commencing their Hajj or Umrah trip.
- Coverage for Death Benefit and Accidental Death Benefit starts when the Covered Person enters the international border when travelling to Saudi Arabia until the Covered Person exits the international border at the destination where the Covered Person departs from Saudi Arabia. International border represents the border limit where the Covered Person crosses the Malaysian Immigration Passport check when travelling to or from Saudi Arabia.
- There is no waiting period for this free coverage.
- Each Covered Person is limited to signing up for Free Umrah Cover only ONCE during the coverage period.
- The Free Umrah Cover does not provide any coverage if the Covered Person travels to Saudi Arabia without the intention of performing Hajj or Umrah.
- Only ONE benefit is payable under the Free Umrah Cover.
- AIA+ app user/non-AIA+ app user status of the Covered Person at point of claims will be used to determine the benefit amount payable.
- This free coverage is subject to a total claims limit of RM1 million (aggregated between all the free covers offered by AIA Bhd., AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd., and AIA General Berhad).
- This Free Umrah Cover is covered by AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd.
- Please refer to Appendix 1 for the definition of the capitalised terms.
- Please refer to Question 11 for the exclusion to Free Umrah Cover.
To be eligible for this coverage, one needs to be:
- A Malaysian citizen currently residing in Malaysia; and
- Between the age of 15 days and 15 years old (for children) OR 16 years and 50 years old (for adults).
Note: Only parents or the legal guardians can sign up for this free coverage for children under their care.

*Note: Only parents or the legal guardians are allowed to sign up this free coverage for children under their care. For those with more than 3 children under their care, please register using a fresh registration form.
The coverage period of Free Umrah Cover is effective upon successful registration until 31 May 2024, or upon reaching a total claims limit of RM1 million (aggregated between all the free covers offered by AIA Bhd., AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd., and AIA General Berhad), whichever is earlier. AIA reserves the right to withdraw this Free Umrah Cover at any time with prior notice.
