AIA’s Free Mpox Cover provides death and hospitalisation coverage if the Covered Person is diagnosed with Mpox.

Notes:

1. The Covered Person’s AIA+ user/non-user status at point of claim will be used to determine the benefit amount payable. For children, their parent or legal guardian’s status at point of claim will be used to determine the benefit amount payable.
2. Each Covered Person is limited to signing up this Free Mpox Cover only ONCE during the registration and coverage periods.
3. Each Covered Person is allowed to claim BOTH Death due to Mpox and Hospitalisation due to Mpox benefits.
4. A waiting period of 14 days from the registration date applies. During this waiting period, the Covered Person shall not be eligible for the benefits stated above.
5. This Free Mpox Cover is subject to a total claim limit of RM 1million (combined limit for all free covers offered by AIA Bhd., AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd., and AIA General Berhad).
6. This Free Mpox Cover is offered by AIA Bhd. and AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd.

You can sign up for this Free Mpox Cover from 1 October 2024 until 30 November 2024. 

To be eligible for this free coverage, you need to be:

a) A Malaysian citizen residing in Malaysia;

b) Between the age of 15 days old to 15 years old for children, OR 16 to 70 years old for adults.

The coverage period is effective upon successful registration (subject to 14 days waiting period) until 31 January 2025, or upon reaching a total claims limit of RM1 million (combined limit for all the free covers offered by AIA Bhd., AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd., and AIA General Berhad), whichever is earlier. AIA reserves the right to withdraw this Free Mpox Cover at any time with prior notice via AIA’s corporate website. 

No. The Free Mpox Cover is only eligible for Malaysians residing in Malaysia.

Yes, the following exclusions shall apply.

Any claim arising directly/indirectly from any one of the following occurrences are not covered under death due to Mpox:

1. Any signs or symptoms of Mpox that manifested prior to or arising within the first fourteen (14) days of the effective date of the cover;
2. Any sickness or disease other than complications arising from Mpox; or
3. Death outside of Malaysia.

Any claim arising directly/indirectly from any one of the following occurrences are not covered under Hospitalisation due to Mpox:

1. Any sickness or disease other than those caused by Mpox;
2. Any signs or symptoms of Mpox that manifested prior to or arising within the first fourteen (14) days of the effective date of the cover; or
3. Any Hospitalisation that are outside of Malaysia.
