AIA Med Basic is a yearly renewable insurance plan which provides coverage for hospitalisation and surgical expenses up to age 70.
This plan is commission-free and no intermediaries are involved in the sales or marketing of AIA Med Basic.

Notes:
1. This plan does not cover pre- and post-hospitalization and outpatient treatment.
2. Deductible is a fixed amount you have to pay for the medical expenses incurred as cost sharing. You have to pay the first RM300 out of the eligible expenses for any one disability, and we will pay for the rest of the eligible expenses.
3. "Any One Disability" means that if two or more Confinements are due to the same or related disability, or any complications arising from it, such confinements shall be regarded as one confinement if each of them is not separated by more than 90 days from the discharged date.

Terms & Conditions
- AIA shall only pay the eligible medical expenses up to an amount we consider is reasonable and customary, provided that the medical care is medically necessary.
- This plan does not cover pre and post hospitalization and outpatient treatment.
- Total benefits payable for medical treatment are subject to your Annual Limit and Lifetime Limit.
- There is a deductible of RM300 for any one disability. "Any One Disability" means that if two or more Confinements are due to the same or related disability, or any complications arising from it, such confinements shall be regarded as one confinement if each of them is not separated by more than 90 days from the discharged date.
- You are covered worldwide but subject to maximum of 90 days protection if you are traveling outside Malaysia.
- The premium payable will increase depending on your attained age when the premium is due.
- The premiums for this plan is not guaranteed and AIA reserves the right to revise the premium by giving you 30 days written notice.
- The premiums paid for this plan may qualify you for a personal tax relief, subject to the final decision of the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia.
- You will have to serve a waiting period before you can make any claims under this plan. Different waiting periods shall apply for different illnesses.
