Your Free MindCare Cover will commence on the day your registration on the microsite is successful. If your application is successful, you will receive a welcome email within 14 working days from the registration date.
You will then be required to download the AIA+ mobile app via Google Play, App Store or Huawei App Gallery and register your AIA+ account. Once completed, you may view your benefits via the AIA+ mobile app. You are highly encouraged to download the AIA+ mobile app to enjoy higher benefit for this Free MindCare Cover.

- Claim must be submitted within 60 days from the event date, i.e., date of psychiatrist visit.
- Written notice of any event likely to give rise to a claim should be submitted to AIA as soon as reasonably possible and in any case not later than 60 days of the occurrence causing such claim.
- We may request additional information and/or supporting documents when required; your early response will expedite the processing of your claim.

All ages referred to in Free MindCare Cover shall be the age of Covered Person’s last birthday.
“Bipolar Disorder” shall mean as manic-depressive illness also, a mental disorder that causes unusual shifts in mood, energy, activity levels, and the ability to carry out day-to-day tasks. The diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder must be confirmed by a Psychiatrist according to DSM-5 criteria or any subsequent DSM update or alternative criteria that supersedes DSM.
“Covered Person” shall mean the person(s) covered whom must meet the following eligibility and has/have successfully applied for this Free MindCare Cover:
- Age last birthday at the time of registration is between eighteen (18) years old and sixty (60) years old; and
- Malaysian citizen residing in Malaysia.
“Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)” shall mean a severe mental disorder characterized by a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest, with clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning. The diagnosis of MDD must be confirmed by a Psychiatrist based on the DSM-5 criteria or any subsequent DSM update or alternative criteria that supersedes DSM.
"Psychiatrist" means a registered medical practitioner, who is licensed to render psychiatric treatment in Malaysia, but excluding the Psychiatrist who is the Covered Person himself.
"Reasonable and Customary Charges" shall mean charges for medical care which is Medically Necessary shall be considered reasonable and customary to the extent that it does not exceed the general level of charges being made by others of similar standing within Malaysia according to 13th Schedule of the Private Healthcare Facilities and Services (Private Hospitals and Other Private Healthcare Facilities) (Amendment) Order 2013 and its subsequent amendments if any. Such charges when incurred, taking into consideration similar or comparable treatment, services or supplies to individual of the same gender and of comparable age of similar Disability and in accordance with accepted medical standards and practice could not have been omitted without adversely affecting the Covered Person’s medical condition.
“Schizophrenia” shall mean a psychotic disorder that is characterized by major disturbances in cognitive functioning, emotion and behaviour. The diagnosis of Schizophrenia must be confirmed by a Psychiatrist according to DSM-5 criteria or any subsequent DSM update or alternative criteria that supersedes DSM.
Whenever the context requires, masculine form shall apply to feminine and singular term shall include the plural.
