Critical illness refers to life-threatening condition which is defined in your Takaful certificate.
What does lump sum mean?
This is a single, large claim payment.
What does waiting period mean?
This is the time period where the Takaful Operator will not pay for certain claims.

The Tabarru' is deducted depending on your attained age and it will increase as your age increases.
The Tabarru' for this plan is not guaranteed and AIA PUBLIC reserves the right to revise the Tabarru' by giving you 3 months written notice.
Goods and Services Tax will be chargeable at the prevailing rate on the Tabarru' for the plan, if it is attached to your certificate.
You will have to serve a waiting period before you can make any claims under this plan. Different waiting period shall apply for different benefits.
The above benefits shall be payable once the person covered's survive for at least 30 days after the diagnosis of a critical illness event.
In the event of Angioplasty and Other Invasive Treatments for Major Coronary Artery Disease, 10% of A-Plus Early CriticalCare-i sum covered shall be payable, subject to a maximum of RM 25,000 (limited to 1 payment only). A-Plus Early CriticalCare-i sum covered shall be reduced by this advance payment.
No benefit shall be payable under Diabetic Related Disease once 100% of A-Plus Early CriticalCare-i is paid.
Waiting period for critical illness under high severity is 60 days from the Issue Date or Commencement Date of the rider, whichever is later, for Cancer, Heart Attack, Coronary Artery By-Pass Surgery and Other Serious Coronary Artery Disease and Angioplasty and Other Invasive Treatments for Major Coronary Artery Disease, and 30 days from the issue date or commencement date of the add-on plan, whichever is later, for other Critical Illness events.
Waiting period for critical illness under low severity, medium severity and diabetic related disease is 60 days from the issue date or commencement date of the add-on plan, whichever is later.
