In general, cleft lip and cleft lip/palate occurs in approximately 1 out of 1000 births.

As part of our efforts to help children with cleft condition, AIA offers financial aid through a collaboration with the Cleft Lip and Palate Association of Malaysia (CLAPAM). Over RM200,000 has been donated since 2013 through CLAPAM, benefitting 198 children who underwent successful corrective surgeries. Additionally, over 1900  children have received special bottles and teats necessary for feeding.
