The Free Khairat Cover helps with the cost of funeral expenses or related administrative expenses in the unfortunate event of the Covered Person’s death due to an Accident.

Notes:

1. Each Covered Person is limited to signing up for Free Khairat Cover only ONCE during the coverage period.
2. AIA+ app user/non-AIA+ app user status of the Covered Person at point of claims will be used to determine the benefit amount payable.
3. There is no waiting period; the coverage is effective upon successful registration.
4. This free coverage is subject to a total claims limit of RM1 million (aggregated between all the free covers offered by AIA Bhd., AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd., and AIA General Berhad).
5. This Free Khairat Cover is covered by AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd.
6. Please refer to Appendix 1 for the definition of the capitalised terms.
7. Please refer to Question 7 for the exclusions to Free Khairat Cover.

You can sign up for Free Khairat Cover from 1 May 2024 until 31 May 2024.

To be eligible for this coverage, one needs to be:

1. A Malaysian citizen currently residing in Malaysia; and
2. Between the age of 15 days and 15 years old (for children) OR 16 years and 70 years old (for adults).

Note: Only parents or the legal guardians can sign up for this free coverage for children under their care. Non-Muslims may also register for the Free Khairat Cover

*Note: Only parents or the legal guardians are allowed to sign up for this free coverage for children under their care. For those with more than 3 children under their care, please register using a fresh registration form.

If you do not know any AIA Life Planners, please email us at MY.Customer@aia.com and provide your Name, Contact Number and Current Location (e.g. Kepong, Kuala Lumpur) and include “Free Khairat Cover” in the email subject.

The coverage period of Free Khairat Cover is effective upon successful registration until 30 April 2025, or upon reaching a total claims limit of RM1 million (aggregated between all the free covers offered by AIA Bhd., AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd., and AIA General Berhad), whichever is earlier. AIA reserves the right to withdraw this Free Khairat Cover at any time with prior notice. 

No. Free Khairat Cover is only eligible for Malaysians who are residing in Malaysia.

The following exclusions are applicable:

• resistance to arrest, violation or attempt of violation of the law including but not limited to riding or driving without a valid license;
• while the Covered Person is under the influence of alcohol or use of drugs/narcotics of any kind (other than those taken in accordance with treatment prescribed and directly by a Registered Medical Practitioner, but not for the treatment of drug or alcohol addiction);
• entering, operating, or servicing, riding in or on, ascending or descending from or with any aerial device or conveyance as an operator/pilot or crew member, except while the Covered Person is riding as a fare-paying passenger in an aircraft operated by:
  
  1. a commercial passenger airline on a regular schedule passenger trip over its established passenger route; or
  2. any aircraft having a current and valid airworthiness certificate.
• engaging in a sport in a professional capacity or where the Covered Person would or could earn income or remuneration from engaging in such sport;
• racing of any kind; or
• engaging in any Hazardous Activity.
