    How long is the Programme Period?

     

    - The Programme starts from 12 February 2021 at 00:00AM until 31 March 2021 at 11:59PM.


    Who is eligible to participate in this Programme?

     

    - The Programme is open to:

    (a)  Referrer

    (i) A policyholder / certificate holder / selected covered employee under Employee Benefit policy / certificate of AIA Malaysia.

    (ii) Malaysian citizen.

    (iii) Register as a Referrer at www.kongsikongsiAIA.com.my during Programme Period.

     

    (b)  Referee

    (i) Malaysian citizen.

    (ii) Agree to participate in this Programme during the allocated period

     

    (c)  AIA Life Planners who joined before their referrer/referee participation date are not eligible to participate in this Programme.


    How can I (Referrer) participate in this Programme?

     

    - To register as a Referrer, kindly visit our website at www.kongsikongsiAIA.com.my  Please submit the required details and click Register.

     


    Is there a limit of how many friends and family members I can refer to AIA?

     

    - There is no limit of how many referrals you can make throughout the Programme Period.

     


    What are my rewards as a Referrer?

     

    - A Referrer will be entitled to the following:

    How do I (Referrer) qualify for the Complimentary Personal Accident & Dengue Coverage?

     

    - You will be entitled to one (1) Complimentary Covid-19, Personal Accident & Dengue Coverage throughout the Programme Period when you register as a Referrer at www.kongsikongsiAIA.com.my in the Programme.


    What are the benefits of the Complimentary Covid-19, Personal Accident & Dengue Coverage?

     

    (a)    The Complimentary Covid-19, Personal Accident & Dengue Coverage covers:

        i.    RM 500 cash upon hospitalisation due to Dengue

        ii.   RM 5,000 cash for death due to Covid-19, accident or Dengue

    (b)    Duration of cover is 92 days, inclusive of the effective date of the coverage

    (c)    The Complimentary Covid-19, Personal Accident & Dengue Coverage is applicable to person age between 16 to 70 years old only, subject to the Terms & Conditions and is not guaranteed.

    (d)    The Complimentary Covid-19, Personal Accident & Dengue Coverage is subject to the Terms & Conditions and is not guaranteed. For more information on the Complimentary Personal Accident & Dengue Coverage, kindly refer to the Product Disclosure Sheet and Policy Contract which are available in the Referrer registration page.


    How do I (Referrer) qualify for the Referral Bonus?

     

    - There are two conditions for a Referrer to be entitled for the Referral Bonus:

    (a)    The Referrer must purchase a new policy as a Policy Owner from AIA Bhd. or a new Takaful Certificate as a Certificate Owner with AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd. and the policy / certificate is set in force by AIA by 31 July 2021; and

    (b)    The premium/contribution payment is made by debit or credit card (“Referrer’s New Eligible Policy”); except for cases where modal premium / contribution is more than or equal to RM15000; and

    (c)    The Referee applies for a new individual life policy / certificate as a Policy Owner or Certificate Owner with AIA Bhd. or AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd. using the Referral Code assigned to the Referrer and the policy / certificate is set in force by AIA by 30 June 2021 (“Referee’s New Eligible Policy”). The Referee’s new policy / certificate must remain in-force when the Referral Bonus is given to the Referrer.


    When will I get the Referral Bonus payment?

     

    - The Referral Bonus will be paid to you 120 days after the Referrer’s and Referee’s new Eligible Policy is set in-force.

    The Referral Bonus will be paid to the Credit Credit/Debit Card used to purchase/participate in the new policy/certificate. If the Referral Bonus fails to be credited into the credit/debit card account or the Referrer has opted to pay via direct payment method (for modal premium/contribution of RM15,000 and above, the Referral Bonus will then be credited into the Referrers’ bank account as per AIA’s record. If the credit transaction into their bank account fails, the amount will be credited into the Referrer’s policy / certificate protection account with 100% allocation. If the credit transaction to the Referrer’s policy / certificate protection account fails, the amount will be payable via cheque. 


    What is the Referral Bonus amount?

     

    - The Referrer will receive a Referral Bonus amounting to 5% of the first collected premium/contribution of the Eligible Policy excluding:

    (a)    premium/contribution from A-Plus Saver/i, A-Plus ScholarSaver/i, A-Plus LegasiEnhancer, A-Plus IkhtiarEnhancer and A-Plus Enhancer

    (b)     premium/contribution collected in advance or

    (c)    any top-up premium/contribution.

     

    The amount of Referral Bonus is 5% of first collected premium / contribution except for plans and premium / contribution payment terms listed below:

    *  Premium / contribution paying term refers to the total number of years for the policy holder / certificate holder to pay the premium / contribution before the policy / certificate becomes guaranteed paid up policy / certificate. .

     

    The total Referral Bonus is capped to the Annual Premium/Contribution of Referrer’s New Policy excluding:

    (a)  premium/contribution from A-Plus Saver/i, A-Plus ScholarSaver/i, A-Plus LegasiEnhancer, A-Plus IkhtiarEnhancer and A-Plus Enhancer

    (b) premium/contribution collected in advance or

    (c) any top-up premium/contribution.

     

    For example, if the annual premium of the Eligible Policy is RM2,400 excluding A-Plus Saver, and the Referee chooses to pay monthly, the first collected premium would be RM400 (RM200 per month x 2 months). Hence, the Referral Bonus payable would be RM20. However, if the Referee chooses to pay annually, the first collected premium would be RM2,400 and the Referral Bonus payable would be RM120.

     

    Meanwhile, the Referrer’s New Policy Annual Premium (excluding A-Plus Saver for example) is RM 3,600. The Referral Bonus payout to the Referrer is capped to RM3,600. A Referrer can choose to purchase/participate in additional policy/certificate by 31 July 2021 to increase the capped amount.


    What are the rewards for the Referee?

     

    - Referee will be entitled to the following:

    (a)    Lucky Draw

    (b)    Complimentary Covid-19, Personal Accident & Dengue Coverage subject to Terms & Conditions

    (c)    Referee Cash Back


    How does a Referee qualify for the Lucky Draw?

     

    - The Referrer will share a link and the Referee is required to confirm participation in the Programme via www.kongsikongsiAIA.com.my to qualify for the Lucky Draw.


    How does a Referee qualify for the Complimentary Covid-19, Personal Accident & Dengue Coverage?

     

    - The Referee will be entitled to a Complimentary Covid-19, Personal Accident & Dengue Coverage when he/she confirms his participation in the Programme subject to Terms and Conditions. The benefits of the Complimentary Covid-19, Personal Accident & Dengue Coverage are detailed in Question 10. 


    What is the entry age requirement to qualify for the Complimentary Covid-19, Personal Accident and Dengue Coverage?

     

    - No. The entry age requirement for the Complimentary Covid-19, Personal Accident & Dengue Coverage is 16 to 70 years old only.


    How does the Referee Cash Back work?

     

    - The Referee will receive a Referee Cash Back amounting to 5% of the first collected premium/contribution of the new Eligible Policy, excluding:

     

    (a)    premium/contribution from A-Plus Saver/i, A-Plus ScholarSaver/i, A-Plus LegasiEnhancer, A-Plus IkhtiarEnhancer and A-Plus Enhancer

    (b)    premium/contribution collected in advance or

    (c)    any top-up premium/contribution.

     

    The amount of Referee Cash Back is 5% of the first collected premium except for plans and premium payment terms listed below:

    The Referee Cash Back is not applicable to any single premium insurance policy / single contribution takaful certificate.

     

    The Referee Cash Back will be credited back to the Referee’s debit/credit card 120 days used to purchase/participate in the new policy/certificate after the Referee’s new policy / certificate is set in-force .If the Referral Bonus fails to be credited into the credit/debit card account or the customer has opted to pay via direct payment method (for modal premium/contribution of RM15,000 and above, the Referral Bonus will then be credited into the customers’ bank account as per AIA’s record. If the credit transaction into their bank account fails, the amount will be credited into the customer’s policy / certificate protection account with 100% allocation. If the credit transaction to the Referee’s policy / certificate protection account fails, the amount will be payable via cheque. 


    I just referred a friend, John and he participated in this Programme. Will John be entitled to the Lucky Draw?

     

    - Yes. John (Referee) will be entitled to one (1) entry to the Lucky Draw if he confirms his participation in the Programme by clicking on the “Participate” tab via the referral link that was shared by you.


    Can John (Referee) refer a new friend and be entitled for the Referral Bonus and Referral Lucky Draw?

     

    - John can only register as a Referrer once his new Eligible Policy is set in-force during the Programme Period. John will be entitled to Referral Lucky Draw once he registers as Referrer and for Referral Bonus if he meets the Referrer rewards’ requirement. 


    Now that John is a Referrer, will he still be entitled for the additional Complimentary Personal Accident & Dengue Coverage?

     

    - A Referrer or Referee can only be entitled for one (1) Complimentary Personal Accident Coverage throughout the Programme Period. As such, John who is already entitled for the Complimentary Covid-19, Personal Accident & Dengue Coverage when he confirmed his participation as a Referee will not be entitled for an additional Complimentary Covid-19, Personal Accident & Dengue Coverage as a Referrer.


    I (Referrer) referred my friend Michael to my Life Planner Mr Tan with Referral Code: 123456 (example). However, Michael decided to purchase a new policy / participate in a new certificate with another Life Planner Mr Lee using my Referral Code. Will I (Referrer) still be entitled to the Referral Bonus?

     

    - No, you are not entitled to the 5% Referral Bonus because you’ve registered Mr Tan as your Preferred Life Planner. In order to enjoy the 5% Referral Bonus, you are required to submit a new Referee and register Life Planner Mr Lee as your preferred Life Planner. A new Referral Code: 567890 (example) will be generated. 


    Will Michael (Referee) be entitled for the 5% Cash Back if he uses the Referral Code: 123456 and purchases a new policy / participate in new certificate from Life Planner Mr Lee?

     

    - Michael will not be entitled for the 5% Referee Cash Back if he uses Referral Code:123456 and purchases from Life Planner Mr Lee. He needs to use the Referral Code: 567890 when he purchases a new policy / participate in new certificate from Life Planner Mr Lee.


    Will I be notified on whether the Referee has accepted or declined their participation?

     

    - Yes. You will be notified via Email and SMS of the Referee’s participation as well as when the Referee purchases/participates in a new policy/certificate. This will enable the Referrers to keep track of the number of entries they are entitled for the Lucky Draw.


    I (Referrer or Referee) have recently /purchased / participated in a new AIA policy / certificate. However due to personal reasons, I have decided to cancel the policy / certificate during the free-look period so that I can get a full premium / contribution refund. Am I still eligible for the 5% Referral Bonus or Referee Cash Back?

     

    - No. The 5% Referral Bonus or Referee Cash Back will only be paid 120 days after the policy / certificate has been set in-force, which is well after the free-look period. On top of that, in the event that the Referrer or Referee’s new policy / certificate is cancelled during the free-look period or cancelled with full refund of premium / contribution and AIA  has already paid the Referral Bonus or Referee Cash Back, AIA  reserves the right to set off the refundable premium / contribution with the Referral Bonus or Referee Cash Back. Customers who have applied for the deferment of premium/contribution payment, taken a premium holiday/continuous charges deduction and/or performed a partial withdrawal before the Cash Back is made are not eligible for this offer.
